GAMTS exams are NOT:

• ❌ Live proctored (no human watching during exam)

• ❌ Open-book (no materials allowed)

• ❌ Multiple choice only (though most questions are)

• ❌ Timed per question (entire exam is timed overall)

Step 1: Purchase Exam Voucher (On GAMTS.org)

What You Do:

1. Visit gamts.org

2. Select your certification exam

3. Click "Purchase Exam Voucher"

4. Enter your email address (important—you'll use this to access the exam)

5. Complete payment

6. Receive confirmation email

What You Get:

• Confirmation that voucher is active

• Instructions to expect exam link within 24-48 hours

• Download exam blueprint and study guide (if available)

Step 2: Receive Exam Access Details (Within 24-48 Hours)

GAMTS Sends You:

• Email with subject: "Your GAMTS Exam Access Code"

• Proctorguard exam link (direct link to exam platform)

• Access code (unique code for your exam)

• Instructions on how to access the exam

• Reminder to use the same email you used for payment

Important:

• Keep this email safe—you'll need these details

• Access code expires after exam is completed

• You can use these details multiple times (see "Retake/Resume" section)

Step 3: Access the Exam on Proctorguard

What to Do:

1. Go to the Proctorguard link from your email

2. Log in with:

   • Email: The email you used on gamts.org

   • Access Code: From the email

3. You'll see the exam dashboard

4. Click "Start Exam" when ready

When to Take It:

• Anytime: After receiving access details

• 24/7 availability: Exams available round the clock

• No deadline: Take it this week, next month, whenever you're ready

• Validity: Typically 6-12 months from purchase (check your email)

Step 4: Take the Exam

Before Starting:

• Ensure quiet, private space with no distractions

• Have stable internet connection (5+ Mbps recommended)

• Close all other programs and browser tabs

• Have government ID nearby (you may need to reference it)

• Ensure you won't be interrupted for 60-90 minutes

During the Exam:

• Read each question carefully

• Select your answer (multiple choice format)

• Click "Next" to move to the next question

• DO NOT press ESC key or close the browser (see "ESC Key & Resuming" section below)

• Manage your time—you have 60 or 90 minutes total

What You Can Do:

• ✅ Take your time on each question

• ✅ Review your answers before submitting (if time allows)

• ✅ Skip questions and come back to them

• ✅ Flag difficult questions for later review

What You Cannot Do:

• ❌ Use books, notes, or study materials

• ❌ Access the internet or other websites

• ❌ Use phone, smartwatch, or messaging apps

• ❌ Leave the exam window

• ❌ Get help from anyone else

• ❌ Copy exam questions

• ❌ Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.)

Step 5: Submit Exam & See Results

When Time Expires:

• Exam automatically submits when timer reaches zero

• Cannot submit answers after time is up

• Any unanswered questions are marked incorrect

Immediate After Submission:

• Provisional Result displayed immediately:

  • Your percentage score

  • Pass or Fail status

  • Score breakdown by domain (if provided)

What This Means:

• Provisional result is typically accurate

• Result is shown to help you understand your performance

• Final certification requires GAMTS verification (see below)

Step 6: Receive Final Certification

GAMTS Reviews Your Exam:

• AI activity log reviewed for integrity

• Unusual behavior flagged for manual review

• Verification process typically takes 24-48 hours

You Receive:

• PDF certificate emailed to you

• Certificate includes:

  • Your name

  • Certification name and code

  • Date passed

  • Verification details

  • Digital signature

Certificate Validity:

• Valid for 3 years from date earned

• Can be shared with employers

• Can be verified on GAMTS website

What Happens If You Press ESC (or Close Browser/Laptop)

Immediate Effect:

• Current exam session ends immediately

• Your answers so far are saved

• Timer continues running in the background

• You are logged out of the exam

You Can Restart:

• Log back in using the same email and access code

• Exam resumes from exactly where you left off

• Remaining time is still deducted from the timer

• Your previous answers are still there

Three Chances Per Voucher

GAMTS gives you 3 total opportunities to complete the exam:

Opportunity 1: Initial exam attempt

• Start the exam

• Complete all questions

• Submit exam

Opportunity 2: If you press ESC or close the browser during Attempt 1

• You can restart immediately

• Timer continues from where it paused

• Resume your answers

Opportunity 3: If you press ESC or close the browser during Attempt 2

• You can restart immediately

• Timer continues

• Resume your answers

After the 3rd Opportunity:

• Exam is complete (either passed or failed)

• Voucher is exhausted

• Cannot retake with same voucher

Key Point: NO WAITING PERIOD

• You can purchase a new exam voucher immediately

• Take the retake exam the same day if you want

• No mandatory waiting period between attempts

• Each new voucher is a fresh exam opportunity

What You Get in a New Voucher:

• New exam access code

• New Proctorguard link

• Same 3 chances per voucher

• Same exam structure

Congratulations!

• Your exam is complete

• Final certification sent within 24-48 hours

• Certification valid for 3 years

• No retake needed

If You Want to Retake (Optional):

• Can retake after 3 years for renewal

• Or retake anytime to try to score higher

• Same process: purchase new voucher, take exam

How We Maintain Exam Integrity (Non-Proctored Model)

GAMTS uses AI to monitor:

• Unusual activity patterns during exam

• Multiple browser windows or tabs

• Screen switching or minimizing exam window

• Keyboard/mouse patterns that suggest cheating

• Network anomalies

Examples of Monitored Behavior:

• Rapid completion (answering 50 questions in 10 minutes)

• Very slow sections (pausing for extended times)

• Copy-paste patterns

• Unusual typing speeds

• Screen sharing or screenshots

What Happens:

• Exam continues normally

• Behavior is logged

• After exam completion, GAMTS reviews the log

• Unusual patterns trigger additional review

• Certificate issuance may be delayed pending review

Serious Misconduct

If serious cheating is detected:

• Certification may be withheld pending review

• You may be asked to retake the exam (with video proctoring)

• Repeated violations may result in account suspension

• GAMTS may request refund of exam voucher

Examples of Serious Misconduct:

• Using AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) during exam

• Having someone else take the exam

• Accessing unauthorized websites

• Screen sharing or help from others

• Impersonation
